How to Approach Each Question
Question 1 – Culture in Your Practice
What they’re looking for:
Recognition of workplace culture or patient population culture.
Insight into the environment that influences care delivery.
How to approach it:
Think about the dominant patient population you serve (ethnic, religious, socioeconomic, generational).
You can also describe professional nursing culture (teamwork, evidence-based practice, hierarchy).
Be specific rather than general.
Keep it reflective but concise.
Question 2 – Culture for Staff Education Assignment
What they’re looking for:
A clearly identified cultural group.
A rationale for choosing that group.
How to approach it:
Choose a culture with available scholarly research.
Explain why it interests you (practice exposure, knowledge gap, community need).
Avoid vague answers like “diverse populations.”
Make sure it aligns with the upcoming poster assignment.
Question 3 – Familiarity with Healing Systems
What they’re looking for:
Honest self-assessment.
How to approach it:
Answer yes or no truthfully.
Reflect briefly (if required) on your level of knowledge.
Consider whether your knowledge is experience-based or research-based.

How to approach it:
