Step-by-Step Approach to Completing the Focused i-Human Case:
Focused Health History
Complete a focused health history in the i-Human platform.
Tip: Collect subjective information related to the patient’s chief complaint. Include onset, severity, associated symptoms, and any relevant medical history.
Focused Physical Exam
Perform a focused physical exam.
Tip: Include only objective findings pertinent to the chief complaint. Organize your findings logically.
EHR Documentation (Subjective Data)
Document the history of present illness (HPI) and focused review of systems (ROS).

Tip: Keep it brief but thorough enough to clearly reflect the patient’s condition.
Management Plan
Create an evidence-based management plan using the expert diagnosis. Include:
Diagnostic tests
Medications (specific prescriptions including OTC)
Consults or referrals, if indicated
Patient education
Follow-up instructions with timing and symptoms to watch for
Provide rationales for interventions and cite at least one scholarly source
Tip: If a component isn’t needed, document “no intervention warranted” to demonstrate thorough assessment.
