NR518 Population Health and Epidemiology in Nursing Practice
Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to analyze empirical data and assessment findings to appraise population health within a selected geographic community. Students will synthesize insights gathered through population assessment findings, social determinants of health, and morbidity and mortality statistics to identify health risks and problems present in the selected population. Strategies to promote population health at the community and societal levels will be proposed.

Clearly identify the geographic area (city, county, state, or region).
Provide brief demographic data (population size, age distribution, ethnicity, income levels).
