NR518 Population Health and Epidemiology in Nursing Practice

Course Description

NR518 focuses on the application of epidemiology and population health principles to advanced nursing practice. Students examine social determinants of health, morbidity and mortality trends, vulnerable populations, health policy, and community-based interventions. Emphasis is placed on data analysis, health equity, evidence-based strategies, and the role of the MSN-prepared nurse in improving population health outcomes at community and systems levels.
