Assignment Overview
Before entering the clinic room, you will complete the Plan My Exam activity to organize the exam procedures you will use into a sequence that moves smoothly from head to toe by mapping them to the region of the body where you will perform them. After you have planned your exam, you will enter the clinic room and conduct a Comprehensive Assessment by interviewing and examining your Digital Standardized Patient. You will earn points on the Digital Clinical Experience (DCE) score during Shadow Health activities for how well you identify and respond to opportunities to emphasize and educate your patients. Please note: there will be no rounding up of DCE score.
Assignment Instructions
- Access Shadow Health. You will complete all assessment assignments using the Shadow Health virtual reality simulation platform.
- Complete the Shadow Health Digital Clinical Experience: Comprehensive physical assessment and post-survey.
How to Approach This Assignment
Log into Shadow Health and complete the Plan My Exam activity to organize your exam sequence logically from head to toe.
Review relevant body systems and physical assessment techniques prior to starting the simulation.
Conduct a comprehensive patient interview to gather subjective data and identify concerns.
